I am now seeking an Assistant Civils Quantity Surveyor to join a large firm of consultants in Belfast.
You will need to have some quantity surveying experience post graduation and be working towards chartered status with the RICS or similar.
You will ideally be working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants or client side.
Projects are varied and will include Highways, Power, Water, Environment.
Our client is a successful large multi disciplinary firm of consultants in the construction industry.
You will be an Assistant Civils Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar subjects.
Previous experience of infrastructure projects is essential and any experience in the Water sector would be preferred.
Previous experience of working for another firm of consultants or client side is preferred although someone working for a civil engineering contractor may also be considered.
Experience in the use of NEC forms of contract is required.
You are likely to be MRICS or MCIOB or similarly qualified.
You should have worked on projects across the whole project life cycle.
You will need to have an understanding of project Governance and procurement processes.
You will be involved in both Pre and Post Contract duties on a number of projects including cost planning, tendering, site valuations, cost reporting, cost management, value management and agreement of final accounts etc.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills as you will deal directly with clients, contractors and other team members.
Salary will be very negotiable but probably in the region of £20000 to £35000 per annum or more plus pension contribution and RICS fees plus good pension contribution, private health insurance and other benefits.
